ABOUT DR. RAY
Dr. Ray grew up in Fort Worth, Texas with nine siblings. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his Pediatric residency at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. During his ten-year practice of General Pediatrics, Dr. Ray’s fascination with Child Behavior and Development led him to complete a Fellowship in that field at the Southwestern Medical School University Affiliated Center. Dr. Ray has practiced this specialty for thirty-five years. He has double Board Certification in General Pediatrics and Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics. Dr. Ray has shared his experience as a speaker and consultant to parent groups, schools, other professionals, and Pediatricians. He has mentored residents and fellowship candidates as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern and Texas Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Ray and his wife enjoy activities with family, many of whom live in the DFW area. Their favorite hours are spent with their daughter, her husband, and their two daughters who live in North Carolina. Dr. Ray loves doing “anything grandfatherly.”
